GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A Weld District Court judge ruled last week to keep Windsor’s Legends sports complex closed—stating the Town showed clear evidence of safety issues that require the owners to meet a list of fixes before reopening. 1310 KFKA
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Mosquitoes caught in Weld County have tested positive for West Nile Virus in Zones 1 and 2 + no human cases have been reported yet. Health officials expect the virus to affect more people as hot weather extends mosquito activity in July and August. 1310 KFKA
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Today, Weld County commissioners awarded over $11.6 million in private activity bonds to Big Red Development LLC and Kentro Group for affordable housing projects in Johnstown and Firestone. Big Red Development will build a 129-unit complex in Firestone to serve about 300 low- and moderate-income residents—together with Kentro Group, they plan to create 264 affordable units. 1310 KFKA
